This study, "IDENTIFIKASI ENDOPARASIT PADA FESES AYAM PETELUR," addresses a highly relevant issue concerning the health and productivity of laying hens, which are crucial for human protein supply. The abstract effectively highlights the significant economic and health implications of endoparasitic infections in poultry, including reduced egg production, weight loss, and increased mortality. By aiming to identify the types of endoparasites present, the research contributes to understanding the parasitic burden on these birds. The abstract clearly outlines the methodology used and reports the identification of seven distinct endoparasite species, indicating a potentially complex parasitic scenario. The research employed standard and appropriate methods for parasite detection in fecal samples, including native examination, flotation, and sedimentation techniques. The identification of *Ascaridia galli* and *Heterakis gallinarum* aligns with common findings for gastrointestinal nematodes in poultry. However, the reported presence of *Hymenolepis nana*, *Diphyllobothrium latum*, *Ancylostoma duodenale*, *Trichuris trichiura*, and *Enterobius vermicularis* in chicken feces is highly unusual and warrants significant attention. These species are predominantly recognized as human parasites, each with specific life cycles that typically do not involve chickens as definitive hosts. This striking finding raises critical questions regarding potential sample contamination, misidentification of parasite eggs, or an exceptionally unique epidemiological context that is not elaborated in the abstract. While the study makes an initial contribution to identifying parasitic elements, the unexpected list of primarily human-centric parasites necessitates a more detailed explanation and critical re-evaluation. For future work, it would be crucial to confirm these specific identifications, possibly through advanced molecular techniques, to definitively ascertain their presence in laying hens. Additionally, providing further contextual information such as the study's geographical location, sample size, prevalence rates for each identified parasite, and any observed clinical manifestations in the affected chickens would significantly enhance the robustness and practical applicability of the findings for poultry health management and potential public health implications.
