Abstract

The Integrated Health Service Post (Posyandu) is a form of Community-Based Health Effort (UKBM) that is managed by, from, for, and with the community. Its primary aim is to empower the community and facilitate access to basic health services. This study aims to identify the completeness of available health services and to assess the level of community satisfaction with the services provided at Posyandu Melati Asri. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and questionnaires filled out by 14 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model approach. The survey results indicate that Posyandu Melati Asri is divided into two units Melati Asri 1 and Melati Asri 2 due to the extensive coverage area of the kelurahan. The services offered include child weighing, health counseling, nutritional status monitoring, vector control activities, diarrhea prevention, and immunizations. Community satisfaction data show that 43% of respondents rated the services as “good,” while 57% rated them as “fair.” In conclusion, the majority of the respondents considered the healthcare services at Posyandu Melati Asri 1 to be in the “fair” category.

Review

This study delves into a highly relevant area of public health, examining community satisfaction with services provided by Posyandu Melati Asri 1. Posyandus, as pivotal community-based health efforts, are fundamental in empowering local populations and ensuring access to essential health services in Indonesia. The research sets out with clear objectives: to identify the completeness of available health services and to assess the level of community satisfaction. The chosen qualitative descriptive approach, employing a mix of observation, interviews, and questionnaires, offers a suitable methodology for exploring this localized health service landscape. However, the abstract presents some aspects that warrant further consideration. The sample size of 14 respondents is notably small, which significantly limits the generalizability of the findings and their broader applicability beyond this specific Posyandu unit. While the study identifies core services like child weighing, health counseling, and immunizations, providing a good snapshot of offerings, the key finding on satisfaction — with 57% rating services as "fair" and 43% as "good" — suggests a substantial gap in achieving optimal community satisfaction. Further clarity on how the "interactive model approach" for data analysis integrated the diverse data sources (qualitative observations/interviews and quantitative percentages from questionnaires) would also strengthen the methodological description. Despite the limitations posed by the small sample size, the study provides valuable preliminary insights into the perceived quality of services at Posyandu Melati Asri 1. The predominant "fair" rating signals that while basic services are being delivered, there are clear opportunities for enhancement in service quality and community engagement. This finding underscores the need for Posyandu administrators and local health authorities to critically evaluate current practices. Future research would greatly benefit from a larger, more representative sample, and a deeper exploration into the specific dimensions of service delivery that contribute to these satisfaction levels, perhaps using mixed methods to fully capture both the breadth and depth of community experiences. Such expanded studies could yield concrete recommendations for improving these vital community health initiatives.
