Abstract

Pemberdayaan nelayan kecil di Indonesia merupakan isu yang krusial mengingat peran mereka dalam sektor perikanan dan ketahanan pangan nasional. Namun, nelayan kecil menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk ketimpangan akses terhadap sumber daya, dampak perubahan iklim, dan masalah dalam akses pasar serta implementasi program pemberdayaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan yang dihadapi oleh nelayan kecil serta mengevaluasi efektivitas program pemberdayaan yang ada. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi bahwa ketidakadilan dalam rantai distribusi dan kurangnya akses terhadap teknologi modern menjadi hambatan utama bagi nelayan kecil. Selain itu, dampak perubahan iklim mengancam keberlanjutan sumber daya ikan yang menjadi mata pencaharian mereka. Rekomendasi strategis yang dihasilkan mencakup peningkatan akses terhadap teknologi, pelatihan keterampilan teknis, pengembangan koperasi nelayan, dan pemanfaatan teknologi digital untuk pemasaran. Dengan melibatkan semua pemangku kepentingan dalam proses pemberdayaan, diharapkan dapat tercipta model pemberdayaan yang holistik dan berkelanjutan, sehingga meningkatkan kesejahteraan nelayan kecil dan mendukung keberlanjutan sektor perikanan di Indonesia
