Abstract

Los objetos gráficos identificativos publicitarios ubicados en edificaciones artísticas, históricas y patrimoniales del centro histórico de la ciudad de Tampico generan discontinuidades en las fachadas. Se utilizaron tres ejes conceptuales: reglamentación gráfica identificativa, contaminación visual y patrimonio edificado que orientaron el trabajo de registro de campo. La metodología aplicada es cualitativa, a partir de la aplicación de entrevistas a informantes clave. Las aportaciones de este ensayo establecen la trascendencia de las relaciones simbólicas y usos sociales del espacio que tienen las expresiones históricas, culturales y económicas del patrimonio arquitectónico de Tampico, por lo que para su conservación se debe realizar una actualización reglamentaria para definir el desarrollo urbano, la conservación del patrimonio gráfico e histórico y el de publicidad comercial.

Nevertheless, the paper's practical implications are well-articulated, culminating in a strong recommendation for updating regulations to encompass urban development, graphic and historical heritage conservation, and commercial advertising. This direct call to action positions the study as a valuable contribution to policy-making efforts aimed at safeguarding Tampico's unique heritage.
